Knotty Boy Frequently Asked Questions

How does Knotty Boy work?
Like a servant to the masses. Knotty Boy wonder wax works by helping to get your locks nice and tight quickly, and has the added bonus of letting you wash your dreads, too. Wahoo!

There's no free mini-bar of soap in my kit? What's up?
The mini Bee & Flower soap, like an 8-track in a Pinto, has moved
on! The new freebie is a handy-dandy shower cap for ya, and possibly a
little treat in a bottle, too. (No, not Barbara Eden. Sorry.) See, they're still so nice after all these years!

My wax is hard as nails. How do I soften it up?
Don't microwave it, no matter what you've heard. It's supposed to be stiff, and when you warm it between your hands (not with radiation), it will melt so sweetly you can rub it right into your dreads.

Why is the shampoo in a bar?
When Knotty Boy first began making their products, it was not possible to make liquid shampoos that foamed without including yucky sodium laurel sulfates. Only putting it in solid bar form would allow them to produce a foaming, truly all-natural and top quality shampoo for dreads.

Is dreading my hair really going to take a long time?
Yep.
